24 Sep 4 Steps to Creating Your Perfect Brand and finding your dream client
The definition of “brand” seems obvious at first, but surprisingly it can be misunderstood. Does the brand just refer to a company’s logo, its colors, and its name? Or, is a brand defined as the overall identity of a company and its perception in the market? A strong brand today requires a personality that resonates with its audience in a synchronized way, across all platforms, from social media to billboards, to its packaging.
Step 1: Get Clear on What You Do
– What does your company sell/do? Can you condense this into just a few bullet points or sentences?
– Why does your company do what it does? This question will help you uncover the passion behind your business.
– What does your business do differently than the competition – what do you offer that no one else does?
– How would you describe your product or service?
– What are the features of your product or service?
Step 2: Who YOU Are
– What are the 5 things that make you… YOU? (Ex. Fitness, Cooking, Fashion, etc.)
– Your Why?
– Why do you like and trust certain products you use?
– Your Voice: What message do you want to deliver?
– When people see you, hear you and absorb your content, what do you want them to feel or think?
Step 3: Defining your Brand Elements
– Colors: I suggest having 3 colors but you can have more.
– Do you have a “thing” that you obsess over? What is the first thing you think of? (Starbucks, Cats, Dogs, etc.)
– Tag Line- Optional
– Brand Image, what is the ‘feel’ of your brand and what you share about?
Step 4: Your Audience (A.K.A Niche)
– Who is your target audience?
– Do you want to only work in a certain part of your state?
The definition of “brand” seems obvious at first, but surprisingly it can be misunderstood. Does the brand just refer to a company’s logo, its colors, and its name? Or, is a brand defined as the overall identity of a company and its perception in the market? The funny thing
– Do you want to only work a certain part of your state?
Remember though you do not want to attract the wrong audience. Not everyone is going to like you and that is okay! If you try to speak to everybody then you will find yourself back at step 1. You want people to recognize you and know you as you not something you are not.
